The Bluewater Astronomical Society is once again partnering with NPX Innovation to present community astronomy events. This year, the program returns to Kincardine and expands to include an evening in Port Elgin.

Join us on Thursday, August 6, 2026, for an evening of learning, exploration and views of the summer night sky.
🌙 Part 1: Astronomy Education and Stargazing Apps
7:00 p.m.
PowerLink Building – Third Floor
1020 Goderich Street, Port Elgin
Learn how to use binoculars and stargazing apps to identify constellations, locate celestial objects and navigate the night sky.
🔭 Part 2: Public Stargazing
Approximately 9:00 p.m., after sunset
Nodwell Park
788 Highland Street, Port Elgin
View the Moon, stars and other celestial objects through telescopes provided by members of the Bluewater Astronomical Society.
This is a free community event, and everyone is welcome. Register using the QR code or the link provided and join us in discovering the wonders of the night sky.
Please dress for the weather and consider bringing a lawn chair or blanket. Telescope viewing is weather dependent, so check for event updates before travelling.
