HAA Dark Sky Star Party 2026 – BAS members can register and attend

The Bluewater Astronomical Society has been invited to participate in the Hamilton Amateur Astronomers (HAA) Dark Sky Star Party. This annual event offers a weekend of observing, astrophotography, camping, and fellowship under some of the darkest skies in Southern Ontario.

The event will be held at Andromeda Meadow, a privately owned 27-acre property near Skinner’s Bluff on the Bruce Peninsula. The site features expansive observing fields, camping, hiking trails, and excellent dark-sky conditions.

Event Highlights

• Dark-sky observing and astrophotography
• Tent and RV camping available
• Morning Café on Saturday and Sunday
• Optional catered buffet dinner on Saturday evening
• Opportunity to meet amateur astronomers from across Ontario
• Weather permitting, an afternoon visit to the BAS E.S. Fox Observatory for solar observing may be arranged
