About This Image
The light from this nebula has been traveling towards the Earth for approximately 10,000 years. Light takes 250 years to just cross from one side of the nebule to the other. Roughly 90 images were take over 4 hours using Ha, SII, and OIII filters, all stacked to create one colour image.
